Respect me on disability bases / I donít respect others on religious or cultural bases. How it comes?
Mohammad Iqbal Pakistan(24, male )

Human, perhaps the most rational creature on the planet is born with unalienable dignified status. This proposition has led by both divine theory and human rights discourses. To that end, every individual has the right to exercise his/her freedom unless contrary to either of the opponent entities. However, a glance on the historical development will make it realize that due to the process of globalization societies become more diverse in terms of variation in religions and cultures etc. this diversity is presenting the beauty of nature on one hand and laid the foundation of discourses for various segments of the societies on the other. These discourses are ranging from disability, religion, culture and so on.
Disability as a discourse or movement, for instance is the more powerful idea than other factors of identity, especially after the emergence of the social model. In this respect, the disability movement regards the individual beyond religion or culture to which he or she   belongs. The movement does not accommodate a space for any conflict, different treatment and discrimination rather it promotes universality and integration irrespective of religious or cultural affiliation. In contrast to religion or culture, the only aspect that takes into the consideration is the status of being human. Furthermore, disability is viewed as the part of human diversity and therefore religious or cultural background is having no or little account in perceiving or considering individuals in that conservative way. Civil rights and inclusion are the core ideas of disability movement, which empower persons with disabilities in every walk of life.  To ensure their existence as a human with disabilities matters universally and therefore may not enslave human on the bases of any consideration.
Religion on the other hand, though sacred and highly valuable among social institutions almost in every society, varies in its form and nature. In contrast to disability discourse stands on the principle of universality, religion in its relative outlook seems to be bias   and subjective. In this view, religious attitudes vary, which usually appear in contrast to other religions and sometimes, in Marxist view become the base of internal conflict between two classes in the same religion. As refers to disability for instance, religion does not provide a logical explanation on disability. Somewhere it reveals as punishment for sins or curse for the family, while in other places it comes as the blessing or sign of forgiveness from the supernatural power. In both the cases, it creates social inequality, as former indicates the rejection or exclusion, and the later presents unjustified sacredness for disability.  Both violate the rights of persons with disabilities, former in direct sense of exclusion and later through limiting the freedom in an unjustified special treatment. Thus religion, due to the promotion of social inequalities and bias outlook creates social conflicts.
Similar to religion, culture is also a relative phenomenon, which varies from society to society, largely characterized by the customs and traditions derived from the makeup of social institutions of given society. To simplify, sociologically speaking, culture is the standard of living of any society. In this case culture is based upon attitudes, ideas, norms, values, believes, custom and traditions of the society. Consequently, every culture is having its own outlook depends upon the listed variables in the previous sentence. In this sense, every culture is direct or indirect in the battle of ethnocentrism Vs xenocentrism, which is abolishing the concept of universality of culture. This battle does   not only cause conflict among cultures, but also violates the rights of those who are subjected to that particular culture. Disability again, in cultural view is perceived as a weak representation and therefore culture in either its form becomes the reason of social exclusion of disability, depends upon the economic, political and social background of the society. Thus, culture because of its variability which comes contrary to other cultures in general and disability in particular cannot be respected.
Except disability here, neither religion nor culture presents the world unbiased, universal, logical and non discriminatory place.  Rather both create social inequalities, social conflicts among humans, due to which the universal intolerance is rapidly increasing, while both Peace and social cohesion is disappearing from the planet. Disability, in this respect, is a more powerful, more integrated and more progressive idea due to acceptance of the principle of universality. It creates social cohesion by accepting people from different cultural background even from different religions. Disability demands for the inclusion wherever it is possible. Disability accepts every religion and every culture because disability is fighting for inclusion everywhere. Thus respect me on the bases of disability as I don’t consider religion and culture are my boundaries.
